Interconnected Mug

A design to challenge the printers over at Shapeways! Its originally a design I thought of for the DShape piers in NYC. (I did just return from an amazing, inspirational trip there!) The interesting fact about these sculpts is how versatile they are and how they can essentially be swapped out to be building columns, mugs, piers, fountains and so much more...We really aren't limited to one use. The revolution about to take shape in regards to 3D printing of concrete...I am feeling its gearing up to re-invigorate creativity in ways not seen in a very, very long time.
